Citrus Hills

Citrus Hills is one of the premier communities in Citrus County, offering incredible luxury and amenities at affordable prices.
One of the best designed adult communities in the area, this is the perfect place for active adults to settle.
With golf and tennis all around, shopping, boating, and fishing nearby, and a magnificent variety of restaurants and cuisines to choose from, what is there not to love about Citrus Hills?
|
| Citrus Hills was constructed into villages. The most recently completed of these is Terra Vista. Home sites here are rapidly disappearing, giving way to large, luxurious houses. Most of these houses have some golf course or driving range access, as well as access to the newly finished tennis complex. Each village has its own particular charm and appeal; all homes are well-maintained and yards meticulously manicured. |
| Golf is perhaps the most popular activity here in Citrus Hills. Three golf courses wind their way through the community: the Oaks course, the Meadows course, and Skyview. The Oaks course is quite a challenge, with narrow green fairways, twisting oak trees interspersed throughout, and a generous number of water and sand hazards, perfectly position to create the most difficulty. |
 |
| The Meadows course is slightly easier. Its fairways are slightly wider and the greens are a bit more forgiving. Nevertheless, it is still a challenging course. Skyview is the newest of the three, cutting through the Terra Vista Village. Excellent fairways and greens, precisely cut and maintained, offer the true championship feel. Golfers also enjoy the incredible panoramic views from the courses many reaching hilltops. |
 |
Tennis lovers, fear not. The Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club offers residents numerous lighted hardcourts, which play host to a number of league tournaments and friendly neighborhood matches. The new tennis complex in the Terra Visa neighborhood offers plenty of lighted clay courts, giving players a nice surface variation. |
Just minutes away in any direction, boaters and fishermen will find refuge. To the west is the Gulf of Mexico, where fishermen report amazing saltwater catches. There are also two beautiful rivers that eventually empty into the gulf: the Crystal River and Homosassa River. Both rivers are spring-fed, maintaining a crisp 72-degree temperature year round. Manatees are a common sight in these waters, especially during the winter months, when manatees tend to gather in these warm waters. To the east is the Withlacooche River, a prime river for trout and bass fishing. The Tsala Apopka lake chain peppers the Inverness area. Water skiers and jet skiers particularly like these calm waters.
Land-lovers can enjoy plenty of interesting afternoons in the numerous specialty stores, antique shops, book stores, cafes, and retail stores scattered throughout the county. Dining is also an adventure, as there is something to please even the most discerning of eaters.
If an active, luxurious, yet peaceful and quiet lifestyle appeals to you, explore the Citrus Hills communityit wont disappoint! |
